As one of if not, the strongest college graduate programs offered by any vehicle manufacturer in the United States, the Volkswagen College graduate program not only provides a $500 customer bonus on new vehicles but also provides access to incentivized rates and enhanced credit tier consideration. For graduates that have no credit history, or limited Credit history, this program is a great opportunity to acquire a new vehicle on positive terms by leveraging their hard work and dedication to their education.

Program Benefits

Volkswagen Financial Services will extend credit to college graduates or soon to be graduating students that are currently or have commitment for employment in the US. In addition to rates/advances (see below), the current offer includes:

  • Leasing: Security deposit is not required, $500 Customer Bonus
  • Retail: Financing $500 Customer Bonus
  • Driver’s Option: $500 Customer Bonus
  • Certified Pre-Owned: Qualify for program, but not $500 Customer Bonus

Program Eligibility

Volkswagen Financial Services will extend credit to college graduates or soon to be graduating students that are currently or have commitment for employment in the US. In addition to rates/advances (see below), the current offer includes:

  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Must be within six months of graduation or have graduated no more than 24 months prior to the date of the credit application, from a 2- or 4-year accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university with one of the following degrees:
    • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral, Nursing degree (RN or LPN)

Eligible Vehicles

  • New and Near New VWFS vehicles qualify for rates/advances  
    • Excludes Golf R, ID.7, and ID. Buzz  
  • New, Untitled VW FS models are eligible for $500 bonus  
    • Excludes Golf R, ID.7, ID. Buzz, and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles (
  • Retired Mobility units/Service Loaners are not eligible for this program.  
  • Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen vehicles (Retail Financing Only) 

Eligible Programs

  • Retail Financing, Driver’s Option, and Leasing Rates / Advance:
  • No credit history required; however, established history must be in good standing with no previous derogatory credit.
  • Rate tier upgrades* to start Graduates on the Right foot.

Term

  • Retail: 12-72 months
  • Driver’s Option: 12- 48 months
  • Lease: 12-48 months

Required Documentation

  • Copy of Proof of Income & Employment
    •  Applicants must provide a contact name and phone number for a contact in the Payroll or Human Resources Department of their employer to allow for direct verification. If the applicant is still enrolled, provide documentation to allow for a verifiable commitment of employment from the future employer. 
  • Copy of Degree or Transcript & Contact Information for College or University 
    • Applicants must provide the school name, address, and registrar’s phone number to enable direct verification of their enrollment or graduation status. 
  • References:
    •  Two complete personal references (including the address and the phone number) who reside in the US and whom Volkswagen Financial Services can contact directly. 
  • Copy of complete & signed credit application 
    • This should assist Volkswagen Financial Services during the verification as it is authorization from the customer allowing the release of information to Volkswagen Financial Services regarding the financial request. 
  • Customer Acknowledgement/Claim Form (Lease or New Retail Only) 
    • Ensures the customer is aware of how the bonus is applied to their retail/lease contract.

Other Program Details

  •  There will be no exceptions to the program eligibility.  
  • Customer is eligible for the program benefits once per degree.  
  • Qualification under this program is subject to verification before approval.  
  • Monthly payment may not exceed 25% of gross monthly income.  
  • College Grad may be combined with Military/First Responder or DEPP.
  1. *Effective June 11, 2020, in the state of Washington, VWFS will not accept any documents showing the citizenship or immigration status of a consumer, nor will such status be considered when determining a consumer’s creditworthiness.
